[14p-PA10-16] Synthesis of Strontium Oxide Films Synthesized on Single Crystalline Magnesia By Atmospheric CVD Technique

High-pressure phase of (8-coordinated) SrO:Eu2+ phosphor was synthesized from thermal treatment of SrO:Eu powder located on a single crystalline MgO at 1500℃ under reduction atmosphere.The phosphor shows strong and stable blue luminescence at 456 nm when it is excited by 325 nm laser. So, next step is to synthesize epitaxial SrO film with 8-fold oxygen coordination. In this study, strontium oxide films were synthesized on single crystalline magnesia by atmospheric chemical vapor deposition.
