[14p-PA13-19] Electrochemical formation and optical characterization of Cu2O/GaN heterostructures

We fabricated Cu2O/GaN heterostructures by electrochemical deposition for visible light responsive photocatalyst. We confirmed Cu2O/GaN heterostructures were successfully formed by SEM and XRD. UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy revealed that fabricated Cu2O/GaN heterostructures could absorb visible light. In addition, photoelectrochemical measurements revealed photocurrents can be observed on Cu2O/GaN electrodes under visible light, indicating Cu2O/GaN heterostructures have a great potentials to achieve visible light responsive photocatalyst.
