[14p-PB4-6] Investigation of Generation Condition of Single Bubble Sonoluminescence and its Emission Spectroscop
Keywords:sonoluminescence,cavitation
When the liquid has been degassed and is irradiated with a standing acoustic wave, a single bubble sonoluminescence(SBSL) can be generated. Aa a preliminary study of SBSL, a SBSL generator using a 200 ml round-bottom flask was developed. The acoustic field analysis by sonic monitor showed presence of a strong acoustic pressure peak around the frequency of 24 kHz. In this condition, a repetitive bubble was successfully generated in the center of flask. However, no emission was observed by a photo detector. This result shows acoustic power was too small to achieve SBSL mode. Next we rise acoustic wave power and get SBSL emission and do its spectroscopy.
