[14p-PB5-11] In-situ Observation of Alcian Blue / PSS Layer-by-layer Film Deposition by Using Optical Waveguide Spectroscopy

Electrolyte layer-by-layer (LbL) deposited films of phthalocyanine derivative alcian blue (AB) and polystyrene sulfonate (PSS) were prepared, and in-situ evaluation of the films were conducted by using optical waveguide (OWG) spectroscopy with surface plasmon resonance (SPR). The combination of SPR and OWG methods allows us simultaneous observation of thickness and optical absorption of the deposited film. In this study, LbL film was also prepared using mixed aqueous solution of AB and transparent polymer PDADMAC, and the molecular ratio in the film was estimated.
