[15a-PA4-3] Analysis of Transmission Bandwidth of Terahertz Photonic-Crystal Waveguide

Terahertz waves have recently attracted much attention as a route towards ultra-broadband wireless communications. We focus on a two-dimensional photonic crystal as a THz-wave integration platform. So far, we have demonstrated the propagation loss of the photonic-crystal waveguide are as small as <0.1 dB/cm in the 0.3-THz band. In this study, we theoretically analyze the transmission bandwidth of the photonic-crystal waveguide for communication applications.
