Thermal phonon transport in perforated nano-bridges (1D phononic crystals) was studied by means of dispersion analysis. At very low temperature, assuming that phonons can be regarded as elastic waves, thermal conductance can be reduced by periodic structures and controlled its design. Thermal phonon transport can be engineered by phononic crystals.
