Optical microcavities coupled with single light emitters have been attracting attention as key systems to realize optical quantum information devices such as single photon sources and quantum phase gates. Although there are a variety of the microcavities, a nanofiber Bragg cavity (NFBC), which is a microcavity fabricated on the nanofiber, have been proposed recently as one of the novel microcavities. Here, we report the fabrication of the NFBC using focused ion beam technique and the demonstration of the coupling between the NFBC and CdSe/ZnS quantum dots.
