[15p-2G-5] Optical signal and electrical bias transmission on plasmonic waveguide

We discuss the feasibility of optical signal transmission on a metal plasmonic waveguide with electrical bias current for optoelectronic integrated circuit using surface plasmons (SPs). SiO2 thickness dependence of the SP mode is simulated for evaluating the single-mode propagation. It is experimentally confirmed that the SP coherence is retained through the waveguide with electric bias current.
