[15p-2K-3] Application to Raw material of Carbide-Derived-Carbon for Rice Husk

Micro porous carbon materials were generated by chlorination of carbides. These carbon materials were examined as electrode materials for EDLC and gas absorption materials due to their uniform nano-pores and high specific surface areas. From the viewpoint of resources supply, the plant-originated sustainable material is necessary for SiC raw material. In this reports, we paid our attention to a rice husk which include high concentration SiO2 for the raw material of SiC. We examined SiC synthesis from the rice husk by heat treatment and explore the possibility of the porous carbon raw material.
