[15p-2T-14] Effect of controlled isotropic strain on the electrical resistance of suspended graphene

Mechanical strain is an effective tool to manifest the electronic properties of carbon nanomaterials. Especially for graphene, theoretical studies showed that strain on graphene can shift Dirac cones, change Fermi velocity and induce pseudo magnetic field. However, experimental investigations on these properties under controlled isotropic strain are still insufficient and required for further potential applications of such a strain-effect. Here, I have demonstrated unique electrical properties of graphene suspended over lithographically prepared circular holes under isotropic strain with a conductive probe of an atomic force microscope (AFM).
