[15p-4E-17] Field Emission from Molybdenum Surface with Thin Yttrium Oxide Layer
Keywords:emitter,field emission
It is well known that the work function of W(100) surface is reduced after application of a very thin surface layer of transition metal and heating in an oxygen environment. This phenomenon has been applied to ZrO/W(100) thermal field emitters for electron beam system. In this research, we observed the electron emission from Y oxide/Mo(100) emitter sample which is a molybdenum sharp needle modified yttrium oxide.
