Donor-electron enhanced FTC-based chromophore with large molecular hyperpolarizability is a promising material for high performance Electro-Optic (EO) devices. In this study, optical modulators based the EO polymer containing the chromophore were fabricated and evaluated. This modulator has low half-wave voltage and long-term stability.
