[16a-PA1-4] Lasing by superradiance of laser-cooled ions

We demonstrate theoretically that an ultra-narrow coherent radiation can be generated by superradiance of a forbidden line in laser-cooled ions coupled to an optical cavity. An experimental setup with calcium ions is proposed.
