[16a-PA2-24] Exfoliation of dispersant attached graphite intercalation compound
Keywords:Graphene,graphite intercalation compound,dispersant
In this study, we demonstrate the electrochemical exfoliation of graphite intercalation compound (GIC) in polymer dispersant solution. The exfoliation of GIC in solution is required to prevent intercalant to elute in the solution. For this purpose, the dispersant was used as overcoat around GIC for interruption of elution of intercalant. In a case of carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC) as dispersant, intercalant ofGIC was not spread to the CMC aqueous solution. The Raman spectra of GIC exfoliatedin CMC solution shows GIC peaks at 1610cm-1. This result shows the CMC can keep the GIC structure in aqueous solution during electrochemical exfoliation
