▲ [16a-PA2-53] Synthesis of Photoresponsive Graphene Oxide, Fullerene and Ag Nanoparticles Hybrid Structure by Liquid-Liquid Interfacial Precipitation
Keywords:Graphene-C60,Liquid-Liquid precipitation method,Photo induced charge transfer
Liquid-liquid interfacial precipitation (LLIP) technique has been widely investigated for synthesis of various structures of fullerene (C60) crystals [1]. Here, we demonstrate a novel one-pot synthesis process of photoactive graphene oxide (GO)-C60 and GO-C60-Ag nanoparticles (NPs) hybrid material by the LLIP method. The GO-C60-Ag NPs composite material was synthesized by simultaneously adding the AgNO3 water solution (0.5 mg/ml) and GO in a toluene C60 solution. Raman and absorption studies confirmed the π-π interaction of C60 and GO in the composite material (Fig. 1a). Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis indicated formation of square and rectangular shaped C60 crystals on GO sheets along with Ag NPs (Fig. 1b). Again, formation of Ag NPs was confirmed by scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) mapping analysis. The current-voltage characteristic was investigated by two probe technique in dark and under illumination of light varying the bias voltage (-1 to 1 V). Significant photoconductivity in the hybridized material was observed owing to efficient charge transfer process in graphene-C60, in presence of the Ag NPs
