Chemical vapour deposited large-area graphene transfer process to various flexible substrates is one of the most critical aspect to explore wide range of reliable applications. Here we explore a simple, low-cost and effective way of polymer-free clean graphene transfer process onto a moldable flexible substrate, which does not require an intermediate transfer membrane, such as Poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). Cellulose acetate paper was hot pressed on graphene coated Cu foil and attached to the substrate depending on their moldable temperature without any structural deformation. By etching the base Cu foil, a clean coating of graphene was obtained on the cellulose acetate based substrate. On the other hand, in the case of Nafion substrate, a thick layer of Nafion solution was coated on as synthesized graphene and after few hours of drying the graphene was separated by electrochemical delamination method. Electrochemical delamination of graphene with nafion film was achieved by electrolysis of water using Na2S2O8 as electrolyte at an applied potential. The successful coating of conducting graphene film was confirmed by optical, scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM) , Raman spectroscopy and current (I)-voltage (V) studies. The demonstrated transfer process can be envisioned in broad range of applications, including fabrication of graphene devices for opto/organic electronics and graphene membranes for gas/liquid separation.
