[13a-B10-9] Fabrication of Cup-Shaped AFM Chip for Measurement of Cell-Cell Adhesive Force

A new method to measure cell-cell interactions using an AFM chip on which cup-shaped hemisphere was immobilized was proposed. Polystyrene microsphere templates were coated with metal and the templates were removed by burning. The fabricated cup was put it on the end of AFM cantilever. Target cell was captured into the cup, approached on another cell, and cell-cell adhesive forces were measured.
