[13a-B3-2] 8 Millijoule Planar Waveguide Laser Amplifier Based on Erbium/Ytterbium-Doped Phosphate Glass

We reported a cross-pass planar waveguide amplifier for LIDAR application. In this report, we improved the planar waveguide amplifier that can accept wider wavelength band for application to spectroscopic analysis, amplifying ultrafast lasers, and so on. New planar waveguide amplifier generated > 8 mJ output energy with 540 ns pulse width at 1534 nm.
