[13a-C31-1] Dependence of laser-induced periodic surface structure on yttria-stabilized zirconia on the laser wavelength
Keywords:femtosecond laser, periodic structure, wavelength dependence
Recently, we reported the first LIPSS formation on yttria-stabilized zirconia (3Y-TZP) with a Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser. The observed grating-like LIPSS lines are parallel to the linearly polarized light and the period depends on the fluence and pulsewidth. We observed periods comparable to or larger than the laser wavelength, different from the characteristics of LIPSS on metals and dielectrics. Herein, the wavelength dependence of the LIPSS is investigated by employing a femtosecond Yb:KGW laser at 1030nm and its harmonics at 515nm and 343 nm.
