[13p-A34-6] In-situ observation of behaviors of feeble magnetic materials under high magnetic fields

To understand behaviors of feeble magnetic materials under high magnetic fields of more than 10 T, some in-situ optical observation devices utilizable under high fields have been developed. By using compact CCD camera, self-organization of feeble magnetic particles, particle deposition process on the magnetic filter in high gradient magnetic separation, etc. were observed. The magnetic orientation process and metal deposition process were investigated using developed confocal laser microscope. Visualization of fluid flows or thermal convection control were studied based on the developed optics. In this presentation, recent progresses of the research on the behavior of feeble magnetic materials under high magnetic fields through in-situ observation will be introduced.
