Sialyl Lewis is a unique sugar chain expressed on cancer cell surface, thus it can be targeted for cancer cell detection. In this study, we developed a novel sensor based on molecularly imprinted polymer-coated gate field effect transistor to target sugar chains, especially Sialyl lactose, similarly structured molecule with Sialyl Lewis. The functionalized sensors showed selectivity against various oligosaccharides to some extent, and the electrical and chemical properties of MIP interface were analyzed in detail. From these results, we have obtained the strategy to design the MIP interface on the FET biosensor, which can be applied widely in medical fields.
