To obtain a sub-nanosecond time resolution, a high count rate up to 108s-1 and a detection efficiency sufficient for high-energy X-rays, we tested a scintillation detector using a proportional-mode silicon avalanche photodiode. On the presentation, Ni-61 nuclear forward scattering of synchrotron radiation recorded by the prototype detector will be reported. The nuclear scattering time spectrum showed nuclear forward scattering gamma-rays that appeared five nsec after the pulsed-Xrays.The data indicates that the new detector has a utility for the experiment.
