[13p-B7-1] Opening Remarks: Current Trends and Issues in Nano-interface Phenomena and the Characterization Techniques

Yasuhiro Miura1 (1.Toin Univ. Yokohama)

Keywords:nano-interface phenomena

Recently, a great deal of attention has been paid to the research area of molecular electronic devices because of the interests in electro-luminescence (EL), field effect transistors (FET) and solar cells. It should be noted here that the improvement of the functions strongly depends on further understanding of the nano-interface phenomena. It seems, however, that exchange of the ideas and opinions between researchers of fundamental sides and application ones had not been enough. This symposium was organized to discuss the nano-interface phenomena in various molecular systems focusing on current trends and issues in nano-interface phenomena and the characterization techniques. Researchers in various fields are expected to participate in this session for the discussions on current topics toward future advancement.
