[13p-B7-2] pMAIRS: A new analytical technique for quantitatively revealing the molecular orientation in an amorphous organic thin film having a surface roughness in a device

Takeshi Hasegawa1 (1.ICR, Kyoto Univ.)

Keywords:pMAIRS, molecular orientation analysis, amorphous organic thin film

An organic thin film prepared by the spin-coating (SC) or the drop-cast (DC) method has a great advantage that a wet process can be employed, which is suitable for a mass production. Unfortunately, however, such a film is often an amorphous-rich film having a surface roughness, which is a difficult matter for a spectroscopic analysis for revealing the molecular orientation. To overcome the problems, pMAIRS has recently been developed. pMAIRS has a novel principle that readily get over the analytical limit. In particular, the reproducibility of the analysis on a SC or DC film, and highly reliable quantitative results of the molecular orientation will be mentioned.
