我々はZnTeを用いたテラヘルツ波検出素子応用に向け、ZnTe薄膜/サファイア基板構造に注目している。サファイアm面基板を熱処理すると、ナノファセット構造が現れることを報告しており、今回、m面を基準にし、c軸方向に傾斜角度をつけた基板を熱処理した場合、どこまでの傾斜角度範囲でナノファセット構造が形成されるか、また、その基板上にZnTe薄膜を作製し、ZnTe薄膜の配向を制御することが出来るか評価した。
