[13p-D63-4] Propagation of elastic waves in two-dimensional phononic crystals composed of viscoelastic materials
Keywords:phononic crystal, viscoelasticity
We have investigated the transmission characteristics of elastic waves through two-dimensional phononic crystals composed of viscoelastic materials. The phononic crystal has periodic square arrays of cylindrical holes embedded into a substrate, which is assumed to be silicon rubber. Silicon rubber is a viscoelastic material in which the bulk modulus and rigidity depend on time. With the extended FDTD method, we have systematically calculated the transmission rates regarding the time dependences of shear modulus as a parameter.
