▲ [13p-P8-6] Interfacial spin-orbit torque in Fe|MgO|V tunnel junctions
Keywords:spin-orbit torque, tunnel anisotropic magnetoresistance, spin-torque diode effect
Spin-orbit torque has been experimentally characterized in current-in-plane (CIP) multilayers such as Pt/FeNi, Ta/CoFeB and CuBi/FeNi. The reported spin-orbit torque can be understood as the spin-transfer effect, where the spin current is generated by the spin-dependent scattering at the bulk nonmagnetic materials. In addition, ferromagnets/nonmagnets interface may also induce the spin-depent scattering, and generate the interfacial spin-orbit torque which is theoretically predected. In the multilayer system, however, these two spin-orbit torques cannot be separated. In this paper, current-perpendicular-to-plane (CPP) tunnel junctions have been employed to characterize the purely interfacial spin-orbit torque.
