Pulsed dry methane reforming in DBD-catalyst hybrid reaction was investigated and optical emission spectroscopy (OES) was carried out. Pulsed CH₄ supply enabled transient reaction diagnostics without catalyst deactivation by coking. OES revealed temporal emission from C₂ High Pressure Swan System originated from an unique reaction at the plasma-catalyst interface: Carbon diffusion through a catalyst nanoparticle was the rate-determining step of carbon removal.
