[14a-A36-2] Size Dependency of Tin Oxide Cluster for CO Oxidation Reaction

Catalytic activity of a small cluster significantly varies depend on the number of the atoms. In this research, we performed size selectively synthesis of tin oxide clusters and investigated the size dependency of the clusters for catalytic activity of CO oxidation. The amount of the desorbed CO2 molecules per atom from the tin oxide clusters increased as the size of the clusters decreased. We observed that the increase of the defect site in the clusters caused by the decrease of the sizes affect the activity of the reaction.
