[14a-B2-4] Enhancement of sensitivity in heterodyne terahertz electro-optic sampling by spectral filtering

We have conducted an experiment to investigate the effect of spectral filtering in heterodyne electro-optic sampling of THz waves, which is based on non-collinear Cherenkov phase-matching. It was confirmed that the THz heterodyne EO sampling efficiency is enhanced by inserting a short-pass edge filter in the probe beam pass behind the EO crystal.
