Keywords:plasma mirror, Frequency-resolved optical gating, Vacuum ultraviolet

Laser plasma is formed on a fused silica surface by focusing an output laser pulse (80 fs) from a Ti:Sapphire amplifier. Time-resolved vacuum-ultraviolet reflection spectra of the fifth-harmonics (160 nm) are recorded. We perform the FROG analysis and reveal that the pulse duration of the fifth harmonic is 13 fs FWHM, which is nearly Fourier-transform limited. The reflectivity of the plasma mirror as well as the Fresnel reflection of the unexcited surface is also extracted.
