[14a-P2-7] Magneto-optical Cavity Effect on Magnetic Multilayers for Hydrogen Gas Sensing

Hydrogen gas sensing by a magneto-optical (MO) effect was investigated on [hydrogen reactive/MO interference/reflection metal] multilayered films. A huge MO Kerr rotation angle over 10 degrees was obtained by MO interference (cavity) effect. The exposing of 4% H2/N2 mixture gas reduced the Kerr angle about 3 degrees.
