[14a-P4-19] Detection of backside cracks in steel plate by low-frequency eddy current testing technique using HTS-SQUID

Low-frequency eddy current testing technique using a double D-shape excitation coil and planear HTS detection coil coupled with an HTS-SQUID is applied to detection of backside cracks in steel plate. The magnetic field pattern corresponding to eddy current flow arround a location of the backside crack can be observed, indicating a successful detection of backside crack in the steel plate.
