[14p-A22-2] Issues of Optical Emission Spectroscopic Diagnostics of Atmospheric-Pressure Plasmas

Hiroshi Akatsuka1 (1.Tokyo Tech)

Keywords:optical emission spectroscopic measurement, atmospheric-presssure plasma

In this presentation, as a method of optical emission spectroscopis diagnostics of atmospheric-pressure non-equilibrium plasma, the speaker presents (1) the electron density measurement by the Stark broadening, (2) electron temperature measurement by the continuum spectrum analysis, (3) approximate measurement of gas temperature due to the rotation temperature measurement, and (4) an attempt to diagnose the electron temperature and density by interpretation of the line emission intensity based on the atomic and molecular process. In particular, in section (4), the speaker introduces the difficulty in modeling of excitation kinetics in the atmospheric-presure plasmas, by his own previous attempt to model it in a non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure Ar plasma a few years ago.
