Degradation of crystalline Si photovoltaic (PV) modules under high temperature with high humidity (85°C+85%), and under high voltage stress (potential-induced degradation, PID) were experimentally investigated. Degradation mechanisms and resistant techniques are discussed and presented. In addition, novel crystalline Si PV modules based on a silicone-film encapsulant are introduced.
