In this study, in order to experimentally clarify the intrinsic electronic states of a half-metallic candidate CrO2 whose intirinsic spin-polarized electronic states have been not revealed because of surface contaminant Cr2O3, we have constructed a bulk-sensitive spin-resolved photoemission spectroscopy apparatus using a Xe discharge lamp. In addition, we have performed spin-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements on CrO2 (100) films and revealed that CrO2 (100) films show the half-metallic behavior at 40 K.
