[14p-B9-6] Measurement of Beam Component Intensity in BNCT using Imaging Plate
Keywords:Neutron capture therapy, Imaging plate
In accomplishing the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for neutron capture therapy, the handy system to detect the distributions of neutrons and gamma rays is one of the potential and essential options. The system is desired to measure the neutron components dependently on its energy, e.g., thermal, epithermal, and fast, separately. The imaging plate (IP) is a commercially available passive detector to measure the distribution of radiation. The separation of the beam components is attempted to be accomplished by enhancing specific component by varying the material of the sensitive region of IP or the converter set around the IP. Recent progress in the related researches will be reported.
