Superconducting nanowire avalanche photon detector (SNAP) is expected as alternative detector which can resolve the trade-off relation between detection efficiency and timing jitter as seen in conventional superconducting nanowire single photon detector. In this work, we report on the systematic investigation regarding the detection mechanism of 2-SNAP with various configurations.
