[14p-D63-1] Microstructures of Y-based high-TC superconducting wires having a conductive Nb-doped SrTiO3 buffer layer with different thickness

We propose a new Y-based high-TC superconducting wire configuration having a metal substrate with a function of electric stability and a conductive buffer layer in order to develop a low-cost Y-based high-TC superconducting wire. So far, we have obtained a YBCO superconducting wire with high-JC performance of 2.6 MA/cm2 at 77 K using a conductive Nb-STO buffer layer. However, It has been confirmed to exist partially thin metal oxide layer on the metal substrate surface by cross-sectional microstructure observation. We report the change of metal oxide layer when the thickness of Nb-STO layer is varied.
