It is considered that the microstructure of Mg/B powder mixtures in PIT processed wires depends on the mechanical deformation process. We fabricated Fe-sheathed mono-filamentary PIT MgB2 wires by applying several cold mechanical working such as groove rolling, drawing and rotary swaging. We found that a wire fabrication by applying a swaging machine is much effective in obtaining well developed fiber structure of Mg particles and high density MgB2 core. These microstructures much enhance Jc values.
