We investigate the fabrication of higher-order nanostructure for surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) using dielectrophoresis of Au-nanoparticles-decorated polystyrene beads (AuNP-decorated PS beads). We assembled an optoelectrofluidic SERS platform to achieve SERS detection for a specific analyte to exploit dielectrophoresis-induced aggregation of AuNP-decorated PS beads with cross-linkers to bind with a special analyte. We collected Raman spectra using the prepared high-order nanostructure consisting of AuNP-decorated PS beads with and without cross-linker bridge. We confirmed the stability of Raman spectra after ultrapure water washing. The dielectrophoresis-enabled higher-order nanostructure consisting AuNP-decorated PS beads with cross-linker brides enables the Raman spectroscopic analysis of a specific analyte.
