In this work, we investigated the hot carrier dynamics in InAs/GaAs quantum dot solar cell (QDSC). A numerical simulation of hot carrier transport dynamics by hydrodynamic energy transport model (HETM) including the energy distribution of the carrier was compared with the results of the conventional drift-diffusion model (DDM). In the experiment, the solar cell structure with or without InAs/GaAs QD layer prepared by MBE, compared with the simulation results, we report a study about the separation and transport dynamics of hot carriers.
