Graphite carbon nitride films were prepared by evaporation. Guanidine carbonate was used as a source of the film. The samples prepared at several substrate temperatures were illuminated by monochromatic light. The current was monitored by applying a constant voltage. For normalization, we used spectroscopic photosensitivity (A/W), defined as the photocurrent magnitude divided by the incident light flux. The photosensitivity spectra exponentially rised at 2.7 - 2.9 eV, and coresspond to the optical gaps given by the optical absorption spectra. The photocurrent intensity appears to be independent of the substrate temperature and is likely to show a stronger dependence on the surface condition.
