Recently, there are lots of researches about medical photonic devices consisted with organic light emitting diodes (OLED). Furthermore, fabricating devices on a several μm-thick flexible substrate enables it to be imperceptible. For making an OLED on an ultrathin foil air-stable, it is necessary to improve not only a gas barrier property of an encapsulation layer but also an air-stability of the OLED itself. In this research, an inverted structure OLED were fabricated in the purpose of an air-stable ultra-flexible OLED fabrication on a 1.5 μm foil.
