We synthesized water-soluble gold nanoclusters and investigated their photoluminescence properties. The PL spectra of gold nanoclusters in water shows a peak at around 720 nm, whereas the peak shifted to 650 nm in PVA film. This means that the photoluminescence properties of gold nanoclusters can be tuned by doping in polymer matrix.
