[15a-D62-7] Effects of Mn Doping on High-Power Piezoelectric Characteristics of Ba(Zr,Ti)O3-(Ba,Ca)TiO3 -based Lead-Free Piezoelectric Ceramics

Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3-(Ba0.7Ca0.3)TiO3[BZT-BCT] based ceramics are one of leading candidates for the lead-free piezoelectric material. We tried to improve the high power piezoelectric properties by the addition of Mn ions to BZT-BCT ceramics. In 0.4Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3-0.6(Ba0.7Ca0.3)TiO3+yMnCO3wt%[BZT-0.6BCT+yMn] ceramics, vibration velocity increased with increasing y. The maximum vibration velocity was achieved at y = 0.396. This is probably because the Qm is increased by hardening by Mn addition.
