Historic East Japan earthquake and tsunami suffered huge number of housings and factories in Ishimomaki and East Matsushima area in March 2011. Some suffered private companies in the area decided to start-up new collaborated businesses, namely Ishimomaki Dream Factory, IDF, and Ishinomaki Motor Community, IMCO, in March 2014 and December 2013, respectively. IMCO has been developing high-temperature TE devices usable for high temperature waist heat, typically 600 Celsius degree, with the aid of financial support from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
