[15p-B13-3] Laser patterning of one-dimensional transistor channels in a photochromic layer
Keywords:organic transistor, one-dimensional channel, laser patterning
Optically reconfigurable one-dimensional (1D) transistor channels are realized by using the phase transition between semiconducting (closed-ring isomer) and insulating (open-ring isomer) states of a photochromic diarylethene layer. By alternately scanning focused layer beams of ultra-violet and visible lights between the source and drain electrodes, multiple 1D channels with different conductivities can be written and erased repeatedly. Moreover, a current adder circuit is formed by overlaid drawing two channels, and optical summing operations are demonstrated.
