▲ [15p-C301-10] Dependence of the generation efficiency of air-plasma based ultrabroadband coherent infrared pulses on the thickness of optical components

To elucidate the mechanism of the intensity enhancement of ultrabroadband coherent infrared pulses by controlling polarization of two-color pulses with a dual waveplate, we systematically altered the thicknesses of optical components and examined the dependence by incoherent measurement technique. We found the signal intensities have local maxima when the bBBO crystal is thicker than aBBO by 100-200 um. We conclude that the negative group which can be achieved in plasma is essential for the enhancement of the signal intensity.
