We developed novel photonic crystal lens fabricated by autocloning method. The autocloned photonic crystal is basically multilayers on a patterned substrate. We can control the periodicity of the photonic crystal by the substrate pattern. The effective refractive index of the photonic crystal depends on the periodicity of the structure. Therefore, we designed substrate pattern and realized segmented photonic crystal having distribution of effective refractive index, which works as a collective lens. We will report experimental results and FDTD simulation results for the lens.
